Move to Industry Canada is completed
Co-operatives now have a new home within the federal government. Industry Canada has announced that the move of federal responsibility for co-ops to that department from Agriculture Canada has been completed. Click here for the government's announcement.

Our mission

The Canadian Co-operative Association provides leadership to promote, develop and unite co-operatives and credit unions for the benefit of people in Canada and around the world. Our members come from many sectors of the economy, including finance, insurance, agri-food and supply, wholesale and retail, housing, health, and the service sector.

CCA supports Canada 150 celebration

CCA is proud to support the Canada 150/2017 Starts Now conferences - a series of 12 events across Canada over three months to mark 150 years since Confederation. CCA and the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada have been listed among the top 100 Ottawa lobbyists by the Hill Times, an Ottawa-based weekly newspaper that covers parliamentary affairs.
